JMR Fellowship Program for Young Men

Who is it for?

The Jewish Men’s Retreat Fellowship Program for Young Men is for adult men ages 18-35 who demonstrate an interest in attending the annual Jewish Men’s Retreat ("JMR").

JMR offers men an energetic weekend weaving together spirited conversation, large and small group discussions, joyous worship services, text study, music, movement and laughter. All men are welcome – whether gay, bisexual, straight or transgendered, younger or older, in relationship or not, and all expressions of Jewish observance.

What does a Fellowship include?

Free registration for your first JMR.

50% discount on registration to attend JMR the following year.

Non-financial help with transportation to JMR.

Support before, during, and after the retreat.

Eligibility Requirements

18 to 35 years old (as of the first day of the Retreat)
Desire to explore Judaism and men's issues.
You have not attended more than one previous JMR.
Commit to attending the entire JMR (mid-afternoon Friday until early afternoon on Sunday).
Complete and submit the JMR Fellowship Program application.

Application Information

How to Apply:

1. Register for JMR35 by visiting the JMR registration website.

2. At the payment page, please click on “apply for financial assistance to attend JMR35.”

3. Please complete the Fellowship Program’s application.

When to Apply:

All applications received by July 15, 2026, will receive priority consideration (regardless of the actual date the application was submitted) and applicants will be notified by August 1.

Applications received after July 15, 2026 will be considered on a funds-available basis in the order in which the application is received. Menschwork will provide a response within fifteen days after it receives the application.
